Nobel Laureate Prof Wole Soyinka, shares his thoughts on his top 20 pieces from his antiquities, collected over six decades. You’ll get to listen to his anecdotes about each one: where he got it, where it’s from. But what is really exciting is the reasons he gives us for growing to love each piece. Here, he talks fondly about his Obalufon mask:

I installed her here as my food-taster. Because she tastes it first, symbolically, before I eat.

Indeed, the ‘food-taster sits regally by Prof Wole Soyinka’s dining table.
