AKOSUA HANSON

A writer and an artistic activist, Akosua Hanson is also a radio and TV presenter based in Accra, Ghana.

Her creative work spans graphic novels, theatre, poetry, healing, short stories, and artistic activism.

She has published articles such as ‘Ebola and the Africa-hating Single Story’, ‘Defining Development for Africa’, ‘A Girl’s hopes for Women’s Day’, ‘Shashii, Ghanaian Twitter and Slut Shaming’, ‘Could We Be Protecting the Cosby Next Door?’ Her current project is Moongirls, an exciting graphic novel series following the adventures of African LBQ supersheroes.

Akosua Hanson is a 2018 Obama Africa Leader, and a Mandela Washington Fellow.
