In early 2017, Moroccan singer-guitarist Yousra Mansour met French guitarist and producer Brice Bottin in Marrakech. Both passionate about Gnawa music, they decided to learn Guembri. In mid-2017, they jointly composed what would become Bab L’ Bluz’s first album.
In 2018, they were joined by musicians from Lyon : Jérôme Bartholomé on Qraqeb/ flute/ vocals, and Hafid Zouaoui on drums/back vocals. They performed at their first live concert on Radio Nova. In summer 2020, Real World Records released the group’s first album “Nayda!”.
