Edwige-Renée Dro is a writer, a literary translator and a literary activist from Côte d’Ivoire. She has judged and facilitated many creative writing and literary translation workshops on the continent. Her writings have been published in anthologies like New Daughters of Africa or Africa39. One of her fantasies having always been to be locked up in a library.
She set up in February this year, 1949, a library of women’s writings from Africa and the black world. Edwige is a 2018 Miles Morland fellow and will be a resident this fall at Iowa as part of the Iowa International Writing Progran.
