William is the Head of the UNDP Office in Lagos that also doubles up as UNDP Nigeria’s bespoke Innovation Center. Working alongside a team of social engineers, innovators and creators the Center is a hub for testing new approaches, ideas and models for accelerating the implementation of SDGs in Nigeria.
Wiliam has over 15 years of hands-on experience in the field of international development – with a dedicated passion in shaping strategy, reflecting on futures, and surfacing new approaches to development assistance. He has a passion for systems thinking and ecosystem building in complex contexts. He is pre-occupied with strategies and pathways for incubating talent, enabling employability, fostering enterprise development and, and positioning innovation as a pathway for inclusive development.
William holds a PhD in Development Studies from the Centre for Development Research at the University of Bonn in Germany and a Masters Degree in Rural Development and Global Change from the Institute of Social Studies in the Netherlands.
