Olusegun Aganga CON was Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Economic Management Team from 2010 to 2011, and then its Minister of Industry, Trade & Investments from 2011 to 2015. Prior to this he was Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, and before that he was a senior director at Ernst & Young, London. He was also the chairman of the board of governors of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 2010 and in 2011, and the chairman of the World Trade Organization’s (WTO) Ministerial Conference. Currently, Olusegun is an advisor to companies and governments in the UK, US and Nigeria.
He is the founder of the Nigeria Leadership Initiative, a board member of Technoserve in the US, an advisory board member of the Queen’s Commonwealth Trust and a member of the investor advisory council of Time Partners in the UK. He is also the author of a best seller, Reclaiming The Jewel Of Africa.
