Muthoni is a Nairobi-based literary advocate, entrepreneur, and podcaster. She is the visionary founder and curator behind the African Book Fair, Kenya's pioneering book fair spotlighting the rich literary tapestry of African writing and storytelling. She is also the co-founder of Soma Nami Books, an inclusive Pan-African bookstore nestled in the heart of Nairobi.
With over a decade of impactful work in the humanitarian sector, and a knack for cultivating literary communities, Muthoni doubles up as a community builder, host & moderator, and a fervent book club organizer. She is also carving her path as an aspiring publisher.
When she is not immersed in a book, you will find her managing her bookstore, exploring new destinations or debating with herself on whether she will ever get around to completing her PhD.
