Festival Guests 2026

Gloria Chinyere Okwu is a Nigerian writer, communication specialist, and cancer advocate whose work blends lived experience with reflections on identity, resilience, and the quiet tensions that shape human relationships. With a background in linguistics and nearly a decade of leadership in the humanitarian and development sector, she brings a deep understanding of community, culture, and the complexities of the human condition to her storytelling.

Her writing is inspired by personal experiences, contemporary African life, and themes of memory, grief, and justice. On Close Examination is her first Publication and a part of her broader exploration of community, survival, and the hidden stories that define us.
