Damilare describes herself as a storyteller: she’s worked as a radio presenter, scriptwriter, film producer, director, and is a well-known actor in Nigeria. As a child, she was drawn to the enduring magic of books.
She saw writers as spell casters, and says ‘naturally, I was entranced to become one’. She is best-known as an actor in films notably The Wildflower, and Igbinogun for Netflix.
Damilare holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in the Arts, and hopes to start a PhD. in the Arts someday. Nearly All the Men in Lagos Are Mad is her first book that is a bestseller in Africa.
