The ‘angry black woman’ trope has often been deployed to silence black women who are vocal in driving social movements and demanding real social change. This panel will discuss the importance of harnessing this anger and frustration as a means to an end. Arit Okpo speaks to Kelechi Okafor and Afua Hirsch, to explore the significance of black women’s voices.
