This event has become the trademark Ake Festival sign-off event and a firm favourite with the audience. With guests in high spirits after three intense days of enjoying new books and art and mingling and chatting with authors, creatives, guests and friends, the ‘survivors’, gather to be entertained by the spoken word and rejuvenated with freshly tapped palm wine. The mood is lively, the poetry powerful and as always, there is no better way to say “thank you and goodbye”.
