Sada Malumfashi is a Nigerian writer, curator and cultural researcher whose work explores language, literature, memory, identity and the cultural histories of Africa and its diasporas.
He writes across fiction, nonfiction, essays and criticism, with a particular interest in Hausa literature, translation and the politics of representation.
He is the founder and director of Open Arts Development Foundation, a cultural organisation working to support literary and artistic practice in Nigeria, and is the lead curator of the Hausa International Book & Arts Festival (HIBAF).
His editorial and curatorial work has focused on creating platforms for African-language literature and expanding conversations around contemporary African cultural production.
He has written for and contributed to international literary and cultural publications, and has worked as an editor, journalist and researcher across Nigeria and the United States.
