I am a South African writer based between New York and Johannesburg.
My writing has appeared in Granta, the Boston Review, the Georgia Review, the Sunday Times and others. In 2016, I won the Commonwealth Short Story Prize for the African Region.
My debut novel Mother/Land is based between 1960s apartheid South Africa and the New York of Black Lives Matter.
