Sofia Cheliak is the program director of the Lviv International BookForum festival, a journalist, cultural manager, translator from Czech into Ukrainian, and a PEN-Ukraine member.
She was awarded the Metaphor Prize in 2016, Lviv City Best Culture Manager Award in 2018 and was named one of Kyiv Post’s “30 under 30” in 2019.
Sofia Cheliak is the programme director of Lviv BookForum as well as a TV host, cultural manager, translator from Czech into Ukrainian, and PEN-Ukraine member.
In 2020, she began working for Ukraine Public Broadcasting Company, Channel UPBC Culture, and as co-host with Oleksandr Alfiorov of the program Cult Ukrainians. Since the Russian invasion began, she has become a host of Culture Instinct.
Since 2024, she has worked as a reporter for Frontliner Media and the war crimes reporter for Ukrainska Pravda.
