Sihle-isipho Nontshokweni is an award-winning author, storyteller, and actress whose work spans literature, education, and cultural dialogue. She is best known for her bestselling children's books, Wanda (2019) and Wanda the Brave (2021), which celebrate self-acceptance and cultural pride. These stories have expanded into a musical, a television series, and a children's academy, in partnership with UCT.
Her World Read Aloud Day book, Fly, Afrika Fly, reached over 3 million children and has been translated into 11+ languages. Sihle holds two master’s degrees from the University of Cape Town and Peking University, where she graduated summa cum laude.
As the host and head of production for The Ultimate Book Show, she showcases African literary voices. Recognized by Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans (2022), Sihle continues to make an impact with her award-winning contributions to film, literature, and education.
