Abi Daré, born in Lagos, Nigeria, holds degrees in law from the University of Wolverhampton, an MSc in International Project Management from Glasgow Caledonian University, and an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London. Her debut novel, The Girl with The Louding Voice, is an international bestseller translated into 21 languages, a US Today Show and BBC Radio 4 Bookclub pick, and has been shortlisted for several awards, including the Desmond Elliott Prize and the Goldsboro Glass Bell Award.
In 2023, she founded The Louding Voice Foundation, offering scholarships and empowerment programs for women and girls in underserved Nigerian communities. Abi lives in Essex with her family.
Her second novel, And So I Roar, was released in the UK on August 6, 2024
