Tom Ilube

Tom Ilube is a London based technology entrepreneur and educational philanthropist. Tom was named as Britain's most influential black person in the Powerlist 2017. He is founder and CEO of Crossword Cybersecurity plc, Previously he was Managing Director of Consumer Markets at Callcredit Information Group, the UK credit reference agency. 

Prior to Callcredit, Tom founded and was CEO of Garlik, an identity protection company. Earlier, Tom served on the executive committee as Chief Information Officer of Egg plc, the pioneering UK internet bank. His career has included Goldman Sachs, PwC, Cap Gemini and the London Stock Exchange.

Tom is founder and Chair of the African Gifted Foundation, an education charity, and in 2016 launched the African Science Academy, a unique girls science and technology school. He is also Chair of Governors of ADA College, the UK's National College for Digital Skills. Tom was appointed as a non executive director of the BBC in April 2017.
