Maïmouna Jallow

Maïmouna is a Nairobi-based storyteller, journalist and communications consultant. Recently, she directed ‘And Then She Said’, an adaptation of five novels by African women authors for the stage.

She has been invited to perform her plays at the Storymoja Festival in Ghana; the Writivism Festival in Uganda; and the Stories of the Anthropocene Festival in Sweden. In 2017, she will be taking her adaptation of Lola Shoneyin’s “The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives” on an international tour, performing at Africa Writes in London in July; at the Cairo International Festival for Contemporary & Experimental Theatre in September; at The Scottish International Storytelling Festival in October 2017 and at the Ake Arts and Book Festival in Nigeria in November. 

Her fiction has been published in the Fifth Draft and Fresh Paint anthologies.
