Esther Armah

Esther Armah is a journalist, playwright, radio host and Director of EAA Media Productions. She has worked in print, radio and television in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, Lesotho, New York, Washington DC, Chicago and Philadelphia for the BBC, CNN, MSNBC.

Her 4 plays: Can I Be Me?, Forgive Me?, Entitled! and SAVIOUR? were produced and performed on the stage in New York and Chicago. A major focus of her work is ‘Emotional Justice’; creating content & intimate public conversation using media to engage, confront, deal with and heal from a legacy of untreated trauma due to our shared history.

Esther is Executive Producer and Host of ‘The Spin’, a weekly one hour all women of color radio show airing in Accra, London and New York. She’s a columnist for Ghana’s Business & Financial Times and a Media Communications Lecturer who has taught at Ghana’s Ashesi, AUCC and Webster University Ghana.
